See how we prepare for a tour!
Imagine
this:
You arrive at a museum for a tour and the person who leads the
group is a teenager. Imagine that, a kid giving a tour in a big
museum like the Whitney!
Youth Insights is a program that trains us to talk about twentieth century and contemporary American art with families, our peers, and seniors. As prepared as we are, we still get nervous. Now, think about how the Youth Insights team handles pre-tour anxiety.
The members of Youth Insights do many things before a tour, from practical stress-relief techniques to zany rituals! So, the next time you have a big presentation, try some of the methods we use to prepare ourselves.
To find out more about doing a tour, check out The
5 "Cs" of Giving A Tour. Coming soon: videos of Youth Insights
led tours on our Youth2Youth
Tours page.
